Brass Object from Fort Daniel Excavations

  
Diagram with broken end added in sketch   In cross section, top opening is .375" d.; bottom opening is .313" d; "inlet" is .188" d. and tapers to oval opening .188" wide and .125" high. Assumed to be same on broken end.

Material: Cast Brass

Earliest date for site: 18th c.; Latest date:1950s.

Credible Suggestions: valve for liquids with center missing.

Material: Cast iron

Dimensions:  c. 6cm long

Probable dates:18th - 19th c.

Credible suggestions:  latch of some kind or "leg."
